Frequent Questions

  • You could hire any creative studio or marketing agency. Why us? Here are some key things about us that might tip you in our direction.

    We're a small business and a family.

We are a literal mom & pop shop, a husband & wife team working two small businesses to support a family. We know what it's like to have to do everything yourself, and how valuable it is to have real partners. But beyond just the inherent value of supporting a family-run business, working with a small business is just a better experience. We can be personal, affordable, and flexible in ways that many large agencies can't.

    We are a one-stop shop.

No matter what pieces you need to make your branding, marketing, and creative assets a reality, we do it all. You don't need to work with a dozen different vendors to get your assets planned, designed, created, and implemented. We can handle all of that for you, everything from idea to results.

    We obsess over quality.

This should be a no-brainer, but it's easy to cut corners and settle in the world of creative media. With so many DIY and template-y options available, it's easier than ever to produce fast, cheap, and completely useless pieces that look and sound just like everything else. You need to stand out. You are not a carbon copy. You deserve excellent work. We don’t do anything canned – everything is original material created just for your business, born out of a creative collaboration between you and us.

We are committed to ethical work.

As the creative industry continues to see a rapid rise of freelancers and the use of AI continues to grow and evolve in this area, opportunities to harm and exploit creative workers are multiplying. We refuse to exploit people for any reason. We will always pay fair wages to our employees and contractors and only utilize creative technology when it does no harm.

So...are we your people? If you want to find out, book a 15-minute call to get to know us personally.

  • You're going to love this...it depends. Projects vary so much in scope and size that it's impossible to give you an upfront guarantee of cost without knowing what you want and need. But we'd love to share some ranges that you might anticipate and a little bit about what goes into those costs. Working with us, you can always be sure you're never spending on things you don't need and getting an honest, cost-based proposal.

    Radio Commercials

    $2500
    $10000+

Radio has two parts: Production and Distribution. Production costs start at $1250 per spot (that covers everything needed: concept, writing, voiceover, music, mixing) but you can always get more creative. The lion's share of the cost of radio advertising goes into distribution (actually putting it "on the air," through digital and/or terrestrial radio). For modest results, you'll want to budget a minimum of between $750-1000 per month (we typically recommend 3 months) per ad for a local radio campaign (doubling that for regional ads, and climbing higher for national ads). Plus, we'll manage your whole campaign for you, keeping you up to snuff on the progress of your ads while you retain control over the dials.

    Audiobooks

    $2500
    $6000+

Audiobooks are charged Per Finished Hour (PFH). Most books are somewhere in the 5-8 hour range of listening (that's typically in ballpark of 40-70 thousand words); lots are longer. Our costs start at $500 PFH, covering everything you need to get an audiobook produced and ready to put online. And as you get more creative (multiple narrators, music + SFX) you can always expect that our costs are all-inclusive and the audiobook reflects the love and care you put into writing the text.

    Podcast Production

    $500
    $3000+

Where are you in your podcast journey? Do you just need someone to edit it? How about creating an on-brand intro/outro? Or are you just getting started and need someone to help you build your podcast from the ground up? We can be your partner no matter the place you're at. Our specialty is branding and creating a memorable intro/outro for your podcast; you can expect those to start at $1250. One thing to be aware of with podcasting is that editing is an ongoing cost, something usually budgeted in packs.

    Voiceover

    $250
    $5000+

Voiceover is super versatile, and so is the range of what you can pay. If you need something really short and simple like updating your phone systems or a quick web video (not paid placement), you should expect to spend in the $250+ range. If you're producing a small indie game, animation, or youtube narration, plan on spending a minimum of $500+. Most VO is on the smaller end, but bigger projects costs more, and so does a bigger reach. e.g., If you need a voice for a radio or TV commercial, licensing usage is a huge part of the cost (we build that in to our Radio Production costs above so it's never a "gotcha.")

    Other Creative Work

    $500
    $10000+

Writing   |   Sound Design   |   Editing   |   Graphic Design   |   Video   |   Photography   |   Social Media

There are as many creative possibilities as there are projects. Have an idea of what you're looking for? Call us! Most creative needs end up in the $500-$2000 range, but let's talk and find out exactly what you're looking for and what we can do for you.

Keep in mind these are ranges and starting points. How much something actually costs is going to come down to a call and a personalized quote. We look forward to working out those details together and finding out what we can do to fit your budget.

  • We work hard to value everyone’s time. All of our meetings are scheduled in advance, and all of our assets are given a drop date.

    • Fit Calls are 15 minutes. It doesn’t take long for either of us to know if we’re a match. If everything looks rosy, we book your first official meeting with us on the call.

    • The VOX Session is 60 minutes. We’ll send you a questionnaire ahead of time to get your creative juices flowing so we can make the best use of your time. We schedule a call one week out to deliver your VOX Brief—the 10-15 page brand strategy overview—and to talk about next steps.

    • Branding and Marketing materials are usually a 2-3 week turnaround; we’ll schedule a delivery call just like for the VOX Brief and go over everything together.

    • Individual Creative Assets (voiceover, radio ads, graphic design, copywriting, etc.) are often 2-5 day turnarounds, but could be longer depending on the scope of the project.

  • Absolutely. Our voices might not be your brand. That's why we keep a roster of trained and vetted professionals with expertise in everything from cartoons and video games to IVR and e-learning. Working with Paige Vox gives you access to dozens of top-shelf talent. The same goes for other contractors we work with; we are proud to offer a talented network of high quality professionals you can always trust.

  • Many of our projects are small enough that paying outright isn’t an issue for most. For large projects we often break up payments into groups that work for you and us. New clients should always expect to make payment up front or a 50% deposit for bigger projects. We never want cash flow to impede someone’s ability to get what they need - please reach out to us so we can make something work for you.

  • Our home and studio are in the Upper Valley region of Vermont, but we work with clients across the world.

  • We do most of our work remotely by email, phone, and Zoom. Even for local clients, the flexibility and convenience of being able to get connected from your home computer and have digital files ready to download is usually an easy choice. It all starts with a FREE CALL!
